Fire and safety officer — Wilcox County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Wilcox County, Alabama. The role involves verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS). You should have: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
