You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Give each garment a final press before packing 3+ years on the tools preferred.
