Tig welder — Polk County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tig welder in Polk County, Wisconsin. Your main tasks: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE Rotating shifts.
