Argon welder wanted in Pike County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Pike County, Indiana. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
