Join our team: we are hiring a laundry presser in Hutchinson County, Texas. You will be based in a busy laundry. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings On a typical shift you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
