Vacancy available: steel fixer (Michigan)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Charlevoix County, Michigan. You will work on a commercial tower construction site. What we are looking for: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Day to day you will place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
