Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Howard County, Nebraska. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day to day you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper.
