Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Carroll County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Rotating shifts.
