Join our team: we are hiring an excavator operator in Knox County, Tennessee. You will be based at a road-building project. What we are looking for: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Day to day you will operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; check for underground cables and services before digging; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines. $32 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
