Garment presser — Central Bedfordshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Central Bedfordshire, England. Day to day you will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Performance bonus on top of base pay.
