Your main tasks: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
