Your main tasks: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
