Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders On a typical shift you will purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply.
