Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
