Bar bender and fixer — Lauderdale County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Lauderdale County, Alabama. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations On the job you will handle: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Rotating shifts.
