Great opportunity: TIG welder (California)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a TIG welder in Plumas County, California. You will be based on a structural steel site. The role involves grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
