Now hiring: we are hiring a car mechanic in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. You will work at a busy car service centre. On a typical shift you will replace clutch plates and gearbox components; replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters; service and replace timing belts and chains; estimate repair costs and order the right parts; replace alternators, starter motors and batteries; diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool. What we are looking for: • Able to read wiring diagrams and workshop manuals • Comfortable working in inspection pits and on ramps • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines 3+ years on the tools preferred.
