Steel fixer — Petersburg Borough

Day to day you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Overtime paid at a premium rate.
