Now hiring: we are hiring a construction helper in New Madrid County, Missouri. The job is on a commercial building project. Ideal candidate: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites On a typical shift you will wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days.
