Aluminium TIG welder • Hand County, South Dakota

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Hand County, South Dakota. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
