Backhoe operator • Chatham County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Chatham County, North Carolina. The job is in an open-cast quarry. The role involves keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers. Ideal candidate: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat Six days a week, one day off.
