Argon welder wanted in San Jacinto County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in San Jacinto County, Texas. You will be based on a structural steel site. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
