Fire and safety officer — Tangipahoa Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a manufacturing plant. You will investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. What we are looking for: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations 5+ years on the tools preferred.
