Stainless steel welder — Borough of Wigan

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Borough of Wigan, England. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. £2,150 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
