Join our team: foundry worker (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in White County, Illinois. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry We offer $18 per hour plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
