Immediate opening: fabricator-welder (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Atkinson County, Georgia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
