Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing.
