Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Alaska. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T The role involves: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
