Fabrication workshop technician — City of Franklin

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in City of Franklin, Virginia. You will be based at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits The role involves: • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
