Join our team: we are hiring a floor screeder in Wilkes County, North Carolina. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Day to day you will cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength. Ideal candidate: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time with occasional weekends.
