Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in City of Manassas, Virginia. The job is on a busy high-rise construction site. The role involves: • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs Ideal candidate: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
