We are recruiting: shakeout operator (Arkansas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Marion County, Arkansas. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
