We are recruiting: we are hiring a hoist operator in Washington County, Alabama. You will work on a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals • A good head for heights for tower crane work On a typical shift you will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control.
