Lifting rigger • Rapides Parish, Louisiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. You will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles 3+ years on the tools preferred.
