Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Powhatan County, Virginia. The role involves inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. Requirements: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off.
