Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Orange County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods The role involves: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing Full-time, day shift.
