Urgent requirement: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in San Luis Obispo County, California. The job is on a structural steel site. The role involves: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
