Ideal candidate: • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding On a typical shift you will straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection.
