You will service and replace timing belts and chains; road-test vehicles to confirm the repair; diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool; bleed the brake hydraulic lines and check pad wear; read fault codes and clear them after the repair; estimate repair costs and order the right parts. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • Confident using diagnostic scan tools • ITI / NVQ Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle maintenance 5+ years on the tools preferred.
