Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Owsley County, Kentucky. You will be based on an industrial construction site. Day to day you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Rotating shifts.
