Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
