We are recruiting: sand plant operator (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Perry County, Illinois. The job is on the moulding line. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
