Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Cook County, Georgia. Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Six days a week, one day off.
