Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Afikpo North, Ebonyi State. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Full-time with occasional weekends.
