Great opportunity: restoration bricklayer (Maine)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in York County, Maine. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. The role involves: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Rotating shifts.
