Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Prince Edward County, Virginia. You will be based at an open-cast mine. Ideal candidate: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems On the job you will handle: • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
