Occupational health and safety officer — Montgomery County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Montgomery County, Alabama. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Your main tasks: • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports 4+ years on the tools preferred.
