The role involves tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal.
