Urgent requirement: lifting rigger (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Whiteside County, Illinois. You will work at a container port. You will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles 4+ years on the tools preferred.
