Tailor machinist — Sapele

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Sapele, Delta State. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
